Student Affairs Section (SAS) in college takes all measures for happy and healthy stay of the students in the college campus under the guidance of the Officer In-charge of Student Affairs like
Persistently engaging in developing the personality of the student in all spheres of life.
Provides the opportunity for students to bring out their hidden talents and abilities and is also responsible for organizing all co-curricular activities like sports, games, cultural and literary activities for the holistic development of the students.
Takes necessary steps for involvement of the students in national programmes like NSS to instil communal harmony with team spirit and national integration, amongst the students and make them responsible citizens in the society.
Conducts counselling and career development programmes to inculcate self-reliance and boost the confidence amongst the students.
Conducts campus placement drives in liaison with the companies/ firms/organizations to provide the placement opportunities to the students.
Makes every effort to leave no stone unturned for the welfare of the students.

ANTI-RAGGING CELL
Since inception of the college Anti Ragging Cell is functioning in the college and curbing the menace of ragging in the campus in letter and spirit duly following the UGC Regulations and subsequent guidelines issued in the matter.
Further, provisions of ACT NUMBER 26 of 1997 promulgated by Government of Andhra Pradesh to prohibit ragging in educational institutions in the state of Andhra Pradesh are brought to the notice of students and their parents in the orientation programme conducted on the very first day of student’s entry into the college. This act is strictly implemented in the campus. Provisions of the Act are as follows.
PENALITY FOR RAGGING
Teases or embarrasses or humiliates a student shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to six months or with fine which may extend to one thousand rupees or with both.
Assaults or uses criminal force to or criminally intimidates a student shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to one year or with fine which may extend to two thousand rupees or with both.
Wrongfully restrains or wrongfully confines or causes hurt to a student shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to two years or with fine which may extend to five thousand rupees or with both.
Causes grievous hurt to or kidnaps or abducts or rapes or commits unnatural offence with a student shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to five years and with fine which may extend to ten thousand rupees.
Causes death or abets suicide shall be punished with imprisonment for life or with imprisonment for a term which may extend to ten years and with a fine which may extend to fifty thousand rupees.
DISMISSAL OF STUDENT
A student convicted under above offence shall be dismissed from the institution. A student convicted for a term more than six months shall not be admitted in any other educational institutions.
SUSPENSION OF STUDENT
Whenever any student complains of ragging to the head or manager and if it is found true on enquiry the student on whom complaints are there, can be suspended for a period as may be deemed necessary. The decision of Head of the Institute (Associate Dean) is final.
Precautionary measures and strict instructions for prohibition of ragging in the college and outside the college are sustained.
In this college Anti-ragging Committees have been constituted for each Academic year for regular monitoring and maintaining discipline in the college, hostels, and other places.
MEASURES TAKEN BY THE INSTITUTE
97 CCTV cameras are installed at vital points in hostels and college campus
Exhibition of posters on prohibition of ragging duly depicting the penalties
First year students are placed in ground floor in hostels for easy monitoring
The Anti-Ragging squads monitor the students in the college and hostels round the clock
Visitors’ book at main gate is maintained to screen out the strangers and the campus is well lit with street lights
The senior students are regularly sensitized with the consequences of ragging.
Constitution of Anti-Ragging Committee consisting of representatives of faculty members, Non-Teaching Staff, MRO, Peddaraveedu and Sub-Inspector of Devarajugattu, Peddaraveedu Mandal.
Constitution of Anti-Ragging squads consisting of various sections of the campus community. It shall keep a vigil, oversee and patrolling functions. It shall be kept mobile, alert and active at all times to make surprise raids.
Displaying of the flexi boards, posters leaflets indicating the Toll Free Anti-Ragging helpline.
Every fresh student admitted in the institution shall be given a printed leaflet detailing when and to whom he/she has to turn to for help and guidance for various purposes with addresses and telephone numbers.
Confidential boxes shall be installed at Colleges/Hostel premises to receive the complaints of the junior students to know about ragging incidents, if any.
Conspicuously, display helpline Numbers in the College and Hostel Premises.

Inform the Police authorities immediately soon after the ragging complaint is received for taking penal action.
Make it compulsory for each student and every parent to submit undertaking every academic year.

Examination Halls:
➢ Three well furnished (with proper ventilation & aeration) spacious examination halls to accommodate 140 students in each room are available for conducting mid-semester, Practical and Semester final Theory Examinations.
➢ Each Examination Hall is under CCTV surveillance.
Sports and recreation Facilities.
➢ Sports facilities such as Ball badminton, Volleyball, Basketball, Throw ball, Kho Kho, Kabaddi, Tennikoits and outdoor gym are available in the campus. A four-hundred-meter athletics track is available in the middle of the campus for conducting various athletic events such as running races, shot put, discus throw, javelin throw and for playing cricket &football.
➢ Girls’ hostel is provided with Table tennis, Shuttle badminton, Carroms and Chess.
➢ Boys’ hostel is provided with Ball badminton, Volleyball, Shuttle badminton, Chess and Carroms
➢ Both the hostels have a recreation room with indoor games facilities and gymnasium.
Hostels:
➢ College is having well-constructed Girl’s hostel with 91 rooms in two blocks (main block with 76 rooms @ 4 students per room and the other block on top of the dining hall with 15 rooms @6 students per room) to accommodate a total of 394 students.
➢ Both blocks are provided with solar water heating system to supply hot water for bathing.
➢ A spacious, well-furnished dining hall with 200 capacity is available near college main building.
➢ Boys hostel has 85 rooms to accommodate 255 students @ 3 students per room along with dining hall. A spacious, well-furnished dining hall with 200 capacity is available.
➢ All the students’ rooms of hostels are provided with enough lights and fans.
➢ Entire campus including Hostels (both girls and boys) is under CC camera surveillance (93 no.)
➢ Both the hostels are provided with 32 kV generators and RO plants.
➢ Enough labour are engaged for cleaning the hostel premises and toilets every day.
➢ Since, Both the hostels are nearer to the college main building they don’t need any transport facility for attending classes.

➢ Two buses with 65 seating capacity each are available in the college.
➢ Theses buses are utilized for taking the students to the farmer’s fields, other agricultural colleges, research stations and agriculture related departments to expose them to various agricultural situations and practices.
➢ One car is available in the college for official trips both local and outside.
Health Facility:
➢ College is engaging one doctor as consultant to meet the health needs of the students, staff and workers of this college. College is bearing the OP charges of students.
➢ College has established one Health Clinic in the college main building with all the required equipment and material to meet the health needs of students, staff and workers during working hours.
➢ Sick rooms are provided in both the hostels.
• Equipped with one Ambulance (along with driver) for attending medical needs of students and staff at any point of time. The available car also utilized in case of medical emergency.
• Internal Roads: Internal roads are well developed connecting all the important points of the premises. Lighting is provided with LED bulbs on the roads.
• Light: Adequate lighting facility is provided in the building and on the roads with LED bulbs.
• Toilets: Separate toilets are provided for boys and girls in the college building.
• Drinking Water: Drinking water to college and hostels is supplied from RO plant (2000 liters capacity) established near Mess.
• Canteen: A well stocked canteen is available in the main building for the students and faculty
• Parking facilities: Sufficient Parking facility is available in the campus
• Wi-Fi internet facility: Wi-Fi facility is available in the college building.
• Reprographic facility: Xerox facility is available in the canteen and library.

Government supply 75 kVA – As per requirement
